Throughout the month of October Look Beauty (available in Superdrug stores nationwide) are donating an extra 50p from all sales of their selected ‘pink products’ to Look Good…Feel better. I don’t know about you but I wasn’t aware of Looks’s affiliation with the charity so if nothing else I’m pleased to have had that brought to my attention. Apparently they donate a portion of their profits from every item sold all year round, this is an additional promotion they are running for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I have to admit I always thought Look Beauty had priced themselves a little high for a new brand on the highstreet but I’d be more inclined to purchase from a company that ‘shares the wealth’ so to speak with such a good cause.
On to the makeup.. you can expect full swatch posts soon, I really just wanted to get across the more important message while it was still relevant. The 5 ‘pink products’ that fall into the extra donation category are Rock Candy Lipstick and Lip Liner, Silk Statement Eyeshadow, Pinch Blusher and Corsage Nail Pop. I was actually really impressed by the last Look Nail Pop I tried so I’m looking forward to repainting my nails with this one tonight.
You can buy Look Beauty online here
Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a time that a lot of beauty brands like to promote special items which is always great but it’s lovely to see a drugstore brand supporting a much needed charity all year round.
